The Pre-Writing Process
Pre-Writing is the first stage of the writing process. It is a technique that allows writers to get their ideas down on paper.
To Begin Pre- Writing ask:

Next Begin to Brainstorm and write down all ideas on the subject that come to mind, even ideas you think are bad. While writing try talking to your audience or imagining you are teaching the subject to a group or class. Also try making a diagram like a tree, spider web or outline. Then, if possible, put it away. Later, read it aloud or to yourself as if you were someone else. Watch especially for the need to clarify or add more information. Then Develop an Argument or position and begin writing.
